These hard-boiled eggs are all ready for the Easter-egg hunt! They were dyed using blueberries for the blue, beets for the red-and-yellow, and turmeric for the yellow. Note that even if the egg cracks during the cooking process, this makes for some very interesting patterns.

In Christian cultures around the world, eggs are used at Easter to symbolize new life, fertility and rebirth. The painting of eggs is one of many Easter traditions.
