Jeremie Lepage of Tide Head, N.B. (top left) was the winner of the 5k swim across Lac Témiscouata. He and Audrey Ann Caron of Rivière-du-Loup kept pace with each other most of the way across, but Lepage finished first, 30 seconds ahead of Caron.

Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac held their first open-water swimming race on August 13. An Olympic discipline since 2008, this sport is growing in popularity. Sixty-seven swimmers registered for the long-awaited Nageons au Témis.
