History of Holiday Traditions with Lifelong Learning

9 December 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

This event is open to all adults age of 50+ in the Quebec City area.

In this activity we will examine different holiday traditions and their origins. During the holidays we hang socks, decorate dead trees, and wait for someone to sneak into our house while we sleep – we even feed him! When you think of holiday traditions this way, they sound weird but it’s what makes celebrating this time of year magical and fun. Have you ever wondered where these traditions come from? We will watch several videos talking about the history of holiday traditions from Christmas music to foods served for the holidays.

Do you have an unusual holiday tradition? Stay for a group discussion at the end if time permits.

This event will run online only. Registration is required.
