It’s an intriguing declaration from an architect by profession: “I want to shake the columns of democracy.”

Anne Guérette, 53, holder of a master’s degree in building engineering from Concordia University, faces a mighty challenge in her assault on the pillars of Fortress Labeaume, where she is one of only three outgoing opposition members on the 21-member city council.
