Christine Genest stands beside one of her creations (the largest painting) and two pieces of wood from the Donnacona dam, on both sides of the table, that are used for benches and or display stands for works of art.

On May 18, 2014, after a heavy rainfall, the Donnacona dam broke. This dam, that was built in 1913 along with the Cap-Santé fish ladder, the Bird Dam and McDougall Dam in Pont Rouge are essential waterways for the migration of Atlantic salmon as they head upstream towards their spawning grounds.
