City ponders shorter tunnel, fewer stations for the proposed underground tramway route

The underground section of Quebec City’s tramway line may be dramatically different, shorter and less expensive than earlier plans had envisioned.
In the latest in a series of announcements revealing more definitive plans for the $3.3-billion transit system, city officials laid out the vision of the tramway’s underground trajectory and where stations might be.
