Afternoon Tea Time or BBQ menus are now available for take-out from the Château Frontenac.

The Château Frontenac has added two gourmet meals to its take-out menu, allowing customers to enjoy feasts worthy of the iconic hotel in the comfort of their own homes.

Every Saturday this summer, until the end of August, it will be possible to impress the family with a delicious Royal BBQ or to recreate an elegant afternoon tea at home.

The Royal BBQ menu features delicious grilled meats including marinated beef rib steak with the delicious Château au Rhum Chic Choc BBQ sauce, locally-made sausages, salmon and jumbo shrimp, baked stuffed potatoes, green salad, portobello mushrooms stuffed with grilled polenta and grilled pepper jam, home-style herb bread with garlic and lemon, and for dessert – a puff pastry covered with fresh fruit and white chocolate.

And because the King of the Barbecue should have an apron worthy of the name, a Château Frontenac apron is included with the take-out Royal BBQ. Part of the profits from the sale of these menu items will be donated to the Portage Foundation, whose mission is to help people struggling with drug addiction to overcome their dependency.

Tea Time! While sipping one of three selected teas, you can savour scones smothered with Devon cream, topped with honey from the Château’s own rooftop beehives, along with savoury sandwiches and delightful desserts from the hotel’s pastry chef, Joël Lahon.

You can order your Royal BBQ or Afternoon Tea on the website. Orders can be picked up any Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the central court of the Château Frontenac. Instructions will be sent to you by email. Home delivery is possible starting at $10 in the Quebec City area (fees vary depending on the zone).
