This summer Karl Gélinas of the Quebec Capitales may face Major League Baseball players from Canada, for example, Abraham Toro of the Houston Astros, if the Caps and the Trois-Rivières Aigles plan goes through.

The Quebec Capitales and the Trois-Rivières Aigles will have to wait until 2021 to play in the Frontier Baseball League.

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced last week that the Canada-U.S. border would remain closed until at least July 21, that was the last nail in the coffin for the 2020 season for both of the Quebec provincial baseball teams.
