Grand Prix cyclists speed through Quebec City

Nearly 170 international athletes took on the challenging 16 laps of the 13-kilometre Grand Prix de Québec through Quebec City on Friday, September 9.

The tenth annual Défi Allaitement was held at the Fleur de Lys mall on Saturday September 10. After the 10:30 a.m. countdown was made, 176 children were simultaneously nursed.

Phyllis Jean (MacFadden) Rourke, 96, died peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on August 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna MacFadden.

PHOTO BY SHIRLEY NADEAU  Frogs in the Tourny Fountain enjoyed a bubble bath this past Saturday. Mischief-makers had poured soap into the water in the basin, which whipped up quite a froth before the fountain was turned off.

When the winds are gusting, the 20s hit right back; the Roaring 20s, that is. Un dimanche à l’anglaise (an English-style Sunday) at the Domaine Cataraqui was not going to let a little bad weather bring it down. On September 11, special guests were present and an inauguration was in order, so it was full speed ahead for the blast from the past.
