The Laval Rouge et Or are Quebec University Football champions again.

The Rouge et Or Sunday at PEPS Stadium in Ste. Foy assured themselves the conference title and home field advantage throughout the playoffs with an easy 62-0 win over the second place Bishop's University Gaiters.

QCGN awards event is sold out

The Quebec Community Groups Network Friday will honour the winners of the second annual Sheila and Victor Goldbloom Distinguished Community Service Award which celebrates individuals who have gone above and beyond in contributing to the vitality and understanding of English-speaking Quebec.

The event, to be held in Montreal, is sold out.

Champlain St. Lawrence Honors Student-Athletes

The Champlain St. Lawrence College Athletics Department has announced its list of 71 athletes who were able to maintain an 80 percent average or better in school while lettering for the Lions in the Winter 2010 semester. The name of each athlete is followed by the sport he or she plays and the school they attended before arriving at Champlain St. Lawrence.

It’s official: Brother André now a saint

A man known for his boundless charity and miracle healings has finally, more than 70 years after his death, received the ultimate honour.

Pope Benedict Sunday bestowed sainthood on Brother André at a ceremony at the Vatican. The Quebecer is known for his miraculous healings and the founding of St. Joseph's Oratory in Montreal.

CQSB public consultation on school dropout/success rates set for November 9

The Central Quebec School Board will hold a public consultation on November 9 to allow members of the public to discuss the district's dropout/success rate, as part of the development of the board's strategic plan.

According to CQSB Chairman Stephen Burke, the CQSB success rate, currently at 79 percent, is considerably above the approximately 72 percent province-wide rate.
