OBITUARY: Timmothy Patrick KERWIN

Timmothy Patrick KERWIN passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at his home in Verdun, Montreal, in his fifty-second year, on November 12, 2017. Beloved son of the late Larkin Kerwin and Maria Guadalupe Turcot of Quebec City, and beloved husband of Suzanne Ehrhardt.

Laval to face Western in 53rd Vanier Cup

In a rematch of last year’s national championship, the Université Laval Rouge et Or once again came through in adversity to earn a spot in next week’s Vanier Cup final by beating the University of Calgary Dinos on their own turf, 35-23, on Nov. 18. It’s also the third time that Laval has won the Mitchell Bowl, formerly known as the Atlantic Bowl.

The Laval Rouge et Or men’s basketball team picked up their second consecutive win of the season after a decisive 89-74 victory over the Bishop’s University Gaiters in RSEQ action at Université Laval’s PEPS Friday evening.

Grade 4 students from Valcartier Elementary School visited the Morrin Centre with the Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier Historical Society group on Nov. 16. Some of them were locked in one of the old prison cells for resisting a rest … so they could have a taste of what it might have felt like for people who broke the law some 150 years ago.
