Literally feasting at the Morrin Centre

The Morrin Centre’s Literary Feast last Saturday evening was a feast for the eyes, ears and palate. After enjoying a convivial cocktail in the Centre’s cosy library, guests oohed and aahed as they entered the beautifully decorated College Hall, shimmering with silver table decorations.

Dennis Rioux is the Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta, Quebec Commandery. This year, Rioux was awarded the Grand Order of Merit for the Order of Malta.

OBITUARY: Barbara (Staveley) QUART 1917 – 2015

Mrs. Barbara Vernon Staveley, wife of Gerard Dinan Quart, passed away on November 4, 2015, at the age of 98, at Saint Brigid’s Home. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Amy Staveley. She lived in Quebec City.  

Another World Cup for the mighty All Blacks

Halloween shelled out a joyous treat for the All Blacks when they beat the Australian Wallabies 34-17 in the finals of the Rugby World Cup at Twickenham, London, making them the first nation to successfully defend the Webb Ellis Cup.
