YWCA Great Plant Sale draws crowds​ . . .​ again​ ​

On the beautiful May 27-28 weekend, the YWCA held its fifth annual Great Plant Sale in the Parc Samuel-Holland.

Those who pass by the YWCA on Avenue Holland have probably noticed that ​the ​building is currently under renovation. However, the nearby park was more than suitable for the sale as it gave volunteers organizers more space to set up tents and tables.

Opération Charme and Neighbours’ Day in Old Quebec

The Maison de la littérature is inviting residents to demonstrate their love for Old Quebec City. Up to June 10, people can write on special Opération Charme postcards the reasons why they love this part of the city. These postcards can be obtained from public libraries and at City Hall.

The eighth edition of Quebec City's Fête Mondiale du Jeu / World Play Day took place last Saturday at the Gaétan Boucher outdoor skating oval, behind the Sainte-Foy sports arena.

EXMURO is back for Quebec City’s 4th Passages Insolites

The Ville de Québec recently announced that EXMURO will be back for its fourth edition of Passages Insolites / Unusual Passages, a series of large outdoor works of art. The non-profit public art group’s mandate is “to design and disseminate pluridisciplinary artistic projects in urban public spaces.”

Canada’s 150th celebrations will be Quebec City’s party of the summer

Throughout Canada, citizens are preparing to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation. On May 23, large event organizers J’EM Événements (J’EM) and 3E évènement-expérience-émotion (3E) held a press conference at the Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand Kiosk to present the lineup of upcoming activities and events in Quebec City.
