Quebec Art Company’s Deathtrap: a sneaky preview

The Quebec Art Company (QAC) will soon deliver their spring production of Ira Levin's comedy-thriller, Deathtrap. Some of you will remember the 1982 film version starring Christopher Reeve, Michael Caine, and Dyan Cannon. There is, however, nothing like experiencing this work of art in its original form - live theatre.

On April 27, the Holland Elementary gymnasium hummed with activity during the school's first science fair in more than a decade. According to sixth grade teachers Carmen Bowles and Russel Grocock, the fair was a success even before the exhibits were set up.

Champlain St. Lawrence College held its 2nd annual Cultural and Community Banquet on Thursday April 26. This banquet is our way to congratulate all our students involved in in the wide variety of activities throughout the year. The number of cultural and community events this year at St. Lawrence was extraordinary. Their commitment adds so much to our college's life.

AngloStore’s Triple Author Event is a resounding success

On April 25, the AngloStore hosted its Triple Author Event with a room full of curious readers eager to hear from local Quebec talents Harold Griffin, Marielle Teasdale, and co-authors Barbara Verity and Gilles Péloquin. Each author talked and then read excerpts from his or her new book.

Minutes before starting, AngloStore owner Andrew Greenfield admitted, "I am so excited.

The Domaine Forget, where the hills are alive with the sound of music

Located in the village of Saint-Irénée, the Domaine Forget is a dance and music academy that hosts an international music festival each summer. Perched on a rolling hillside overlooking the St. Lawrence River, the Domaine, founded in 1977, is located on what was once the estate of Rodolphe Forget (1861-1919), a Member of Parliament and investor and entrepreneur in the Charlevoix region.
