Anticipation was high at Quebec City's premiere of Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 (BCBC2) on May 3 at the Cineplex Beauport. A long line of eager movie-goers wound along the corridor like the tail of a Chinese dragon towards screening room #16 an hour before the 7 p.m. screening.

Wine and spirits, cheese and chocolate and beer, oh my!

There was so much more than just wine and spirits at this year’s Salon International des vins et spiritueux de Québec held from April 28 to 30 at the Centre des congrès de Québec. 

Judicial appointments in the province of Quebec

The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, recently announced the appointment of four judges to the Superior Court of Quebec.

Madame Justice Karen M. Rogers, a partner with the firm Langlois Avocats, fills a new judicial position created by Bill C-31 and brings over 28 years of litigation experience to her new role.

Evan Price named as one of Les Grands Québécois

The Quebec City Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently named Evan Price, president and executive director of CO2 Solutions, as one of Les Grands Québécois in the Social Sector.

A proud representative of the sixth generation of the Price family, who arrived in Quebec City in 1810, Price inherited a very dominant gene from his Welsh ancestors, that of philanthropy.

Capitales bring newcomers to training camp in Trois-Rivières

The Capitales de Québec baseball team will start their 19th training camp on the road. Forced to temporarily relocate while the new artificial turf is being installed at the Stade Canac (formerly the Stade Municipale) in Quebec City, the team will spend the first 10 days travelling within the province of Quebec.

Champlain–St. Lawrence honours Athletes of the Year

Last Thursday, CEGEP Champlain–St. Lawrence held its annual sports banquet to honour their top athletes of the 2016-2017 season. Laurence Vandal (women’s basketball), and Raphaël Gosselin (hockey) were named the top Athletes of the Year.
