2016 Défilé de la Saint-Patrick an “ode to spring”

The seventh annual Défilé de la Saint-Patrick paraded into Old Quebec City on Saturday, March 19, charming the thousands of residents and visitors who crowded the sidewalks all the way from Avenue Cartier to Quebec City Hall and Place d’Youville. The parade also ushered in spring, which officially began the next day, March 20, at 12:30 a.m. EDT. 

Lip-Sync Idol encourages literacy skills in EQLC students

Students of the Eastern Québec Learning Centre (EQLC) faced off on a new challenge on March 17, and it’s one that they may not be used to preparing for – a lip-sync battle.

The Festival d’Été de Québec (FEQ) recently launched its eagerly awaited 2016 programming simultaneously at a press conference and on the Festival’s website via video. For music lovers, watching the names of popular artists scrolling across the screen in time to their biggest hits was like opening Christmas presents.

Every year the Central Québec School Board (CQSB) hosts two Performing Arts Festivals known as PAF! – one for elementary and one for secondary schools. The festivals provide a unique opportunity for students of all ages to come together from the far corners of the school board to share their enthusiasm and passion for the performing arts.

A night of history, mystery and sports at Livres Trois Canons

Livres Trois Canons bookstore was packed last Wednesday evening, March 16, with viewers gathered to hear three authors read excerpts from their latest books and discuss their writing and research process with the audience. 

2016 Canadian Qualifier Synchronized Swimming results

Last weekend some 600 synchronized swimmers, coaches and judges from across Canada were at the Centre aquatique Desjardins at the PEPS, Université Laval, for Synchro Canada’s 2016 Canadian Qualifier Championships.
