SLC students raise money for African school

Cegep Champlain–St. Lawrence’s Community Aid Committee — made up of seven dynamic, involved, and socially-conscientious students — is undertaking an ambitious venture: to raise $15,000 to contribute to the building of a school in Africa.

A new brew for Morrin Centre

Morrin Centre’s 400th anniversary tea contest produced three winners. They were announced during the Centennial Tea held last Sunday.

The winning brew will become the signature tea for the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec and Morrin Centre.

Plains of Abraham celebrate 100 with hockey legends, NFB and a Centennial Tea

Quebec City residents and visitors had a chance to see and touch Lord Stanley’s Cup while it was on display at the Discovery Pavilion on the weekend. This was one of the Centennial events to mark the Plains of Abraham’s anniversary.

Joe Malone Jr. was invited down from London, ON, for the event.

Radio-Canada has first dibs on broadcasting the highlights from last year’s Grand rire gala shows.

Until the shows have been broadcast, those who purchased the Grand rire’s highlights DVD will have to wait for their copy.
