Jeffery Hale - Saint Brigid’s at the Pentathlon des neiges

For the last three years, during the Pentathlon des neiges sporting event held on the Plains of Abraham, a special day is set aside for employees of the 13 health establishments of the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de la Capitale-Nationale.

Festi Lumière at the Aquarium du Québec

The fifth annual Festi Lumière at the Aquarium du Québec ended last weekend. Some 400,000 LED lights in all shapes and sizes illuminated the pathways of the Aquarium. Young and old were captivated by the images created by these lights.

One spectacular sight was the replica of the Château Frontenac which could be seen from many angles.

We all know the litany - shamrocks, revelry, and Irish-inspired food; bagpipes, leprechauns, and green beer to set the mood. This year, minor modifications to traditional dishes can help you fit a little extra green into your celebration. In the case of St. Patrick's Day, it is hard to overlook the obvious connection between wearing green and, well, living green.

KILCOYNE, Jean Olive

a resident of Long Point, Ontario, passed away on Friday March 1, 2013, after a short illness.

Jean was much loved by her husband Ralph, her children Catherine, Ron, John (Bonnie) and Shauneen (Len), her grandchildren Jessica, Erin, Kelly and Patrick and her great-grandchildren Avery, Beth and Kate.

HOLLIDAY, Malcolm

Malcolm Colin (Bill) Holliday, age 90, of Kingston, Ontario, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013. Bill was born in Quebec City where he graduated from Commissioners High School and left to serve in the RCAF during WW II. He returned to Quebec City where he worked in the insurance industry until he moved to Kingston, Ontario, in 1999.

BÉRUBÉ, Louise Rouleau

It is with much sadness that the family of Louise Rouleau announces her death on March 8, 2013, at Quebec City at the age of 71 years.

Loulou is survived by her husband Michel Bérubé, and her sons, Mario (Isabel Côté) and Eric (Mathilde Barbeau) and her grandchildren Camille, Nathan and Florence, whom she adored.
