Winnipeg Children’s Author Coming to Quebec City
Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at 10 am.: That’s the date that you need to put in your agenda if you’d like to come to a children’s book reading and signing at AngloStore.
Winnipeg-based children’s author, Nicole Petroski will be visiting the province of Quebec this summer and has confirmed that she’ll be coming to Quebec City too.

The first female member of the Royal Family to visit Canada was Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, also known as Marchioness of Lorne and Duchess of Argyll by marriage. She was the sixth child of Queen Victoria.

QHS Student drafted in First Round of the QMJHL
This past Saturday, the QMJHL held its entry draft at the Coliseum Desjardins in Victoriaville. Over 200 hockey players from Quebec, the Maritimes and the United States were vying for spots on the 17 teams in the league.
Canadian National Defence Honours Distinguished Service at Valcartier Garrison
Thirty-two insignia for Mention in Dispatches and twenty-one Chief of the Defence Staff Commendations were presented at the Valcartier Garrison on May 30 by Lieutenant-General Peter Devlin, Chief of the Land Staff. Honour was given to individuals in the Canadian Forces who performed admirable service while on mission two years ago.
