Where am I? Who made me? What do I symbolize?

Welcome to this summer’s MYSTERY PHOTO CONTEST. Bethann Merkle, Shirley Nadeau and Danielle Burns have scouted out people, places and things around the city for you to try and identify over the next three months. Most of them are outdoors, but some, like this one, are indoors. Your mission is to find these objects and correctly identify them by answering the questions with each photo.

Queen Elizabeth II crowned 60 years ago


Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince Philip on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, after her coronation ceremony held on June 2, 1953. The dress Elizabeth wore at the coronation was designed by Norman Hartnell. It evolved through nine proposals, the final reached by his own research as well as numerous personal meetings with the Queen.

Students in Quebec City are now in a position to run away with the circus by taking the Arts du cirque (DEC) program in collaboration with Cégep Limoilou. This spring, the first group of graduates completed the three-year program, which began in the fall of 2010.

The second annual BBQ Fest invited carnivores and omnivores to a culinary experience, which was held from May 30 to June 2, at Espace 400e in Quebec City's Old Port.

St. Lawrence College 2013 graduate awards

The Champlain-St. Lawrence College Graduation ceremony was held on Friday, May 24, at Montmartre Canadien on chemin St-Louis. This was the first time that a St. Lawrence graduation ceremony took place off campus, and with great success. Over 500 people attended the ceremony and 168 of the 321 grads were present, which is the highest attendance in a long time.
