On May 27, students and faculty of Champlain–St. Lawrence gathered at Montmartre canadien in Sillery for the 2016 Graduation Ceremony. Before the ceremony, proud parents and friends of the graduates took advantage of the natural light outside to take photos. 

OSQ unveils its 2016-2017 season

Fabien Gabel, musical director and conductor of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec (OSQ), and Darren Lowe, first violin of the OSQ, were visibly pleased to announce the 2016-2017 season’s concerts in the unusual setting of Le Cercle in the Saint-Roch district of Quebec City. Concerts will take place at the Grand Théâtre, the Palais Montcalm and Le Cercle. 

A summer of discoveries at the Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand

The National Battlefields Commission is proud to present its 24th season of free concerts on the Plains of Abraham. Over the years, more than 600,000 spectators have applauded close to 3,000 artists from here and abroad at the Edwin Bélanger Bandstand in a one-of-a-kind setting and natural decor.

Beethoven’s 9th is Number One!

Often hailed as his greatest composition, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 enchants the audience and transports them to a time of joy. The Orchestre Symphonique de Québec (OSQ), the OSQ chorus and four soloists delivered an outstanding interpretation of this famed composition last week at the Grand Théâtre. Both performances were sold out.

On a bright and sunny Saturday morning, May 28, people lined up waiting for the bi-annual Irish Heritage Quebec Flea Market to open. Five minutes into the sale, McMahon Hall was bustling with buyers and curious people. Some had their eyes set on specific items, while others were merely browsing.

The Hudson Mutiny shown at the Morrin Centre

The Hudson Mutiny, a feature documentary by Nicholas Kinsey, was screened at the Morrin Centre on May 24. Kinsey, who was present at the showing, offered a prelude as well as a question-and-answer session afterwards.
