We regret to inform you of the death of Mrs. Pauline-Mary Montminy, passed away at the Maison Legault on June 20th 2013. She was the daughter of the late Mr. O. Avila Montminy and of the late Mrs. Bertha-Mary Phillips, loving wife of the late Mr. Charles-Stuart Wolff.

Canada Day celebrations in Quebec City

Monday, July 1, was a beautiful, sunny day and it certainly brought out lots of people to celebrate Canada's 146th birthday in style.

Irish visitors to Quebec City and Grosse Île

A group of nine Irish teenagers and their supervisors, Caroilin Callery and Maggie Gallagher, were in Quebec City this past week, as part of the Year of the Gathering activities in Ireland. They came to retrace the steps of their ancestors, those who had left Ireland during the Great Famine in hopes of a better life in Canada.

The QCT recently received an interesting photo and information about a long-ago school rugby club in Quebec City. It came from Andrew Caddell, who grew up in Montreal West. Caddell now lives in Ottawa and works for the federal government as an international trade commissioner.

Zombies walk in the sunshine for Opération Enfant Soleil

Something surprising, to say the least, happened in the Old Town on Saturday. There was a Zombie Parade - in broad daylight! It started from Place d'Youville, and about a hundred "walking dead" of all ages came out to the afternoon event. The parade was held to help encourage family participation and donations to a worthy cause.

Hillary's Ride for Mental Health is crossing Canada

In May of 2003, Hillary Werthmann, who suffered from mental illness, took her life with a drug overdose. She was 20 years old.

Paul McCartney returns to conquer the Plains of Abraham

He conquered the Plains in 2008 during the celebrations of Quebec City's 400th birthday, and Sir Paul McCartney is coming back to entertain his fans again on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

Peachland’s new Fire Chief originally from Stoneham

Dennis Craig, a former resident of Stoneham, Quebec, was recently appointed the new fire chief of Peachland, a municipality of about 5,000 on the western shore of Okanagan Lake, British Columbia.
