If you weren't at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity last Thursday afternoon, you missed out on a fabulous concert by bass baritone, Dr. Douglas Renfroe. From Florida, he and his wife Dorothy are visiting Quebec City for the third summer in a row. The dean of the cathedral, the Rev. Christian Schreiner introduced him, mentioning that Renfroe is acting as the Cathedral's music director this summer.

The Festival d'Été is a world-class music extravaganza. Although the passes for this year's 11-day event were reasonably priced at $76, not everyone could afford them. That is why the free shows at Place d'Youville were so appreciated. Located in the heart of downtown, near Porte Saint-Jean, the wide set of stairs in front of the Palais Montcalm provides a great view of the stage.
