Quebec, Ontario wrong to complain

Canadians are quick to complain about - and even quicker to forget - one of the reasons that Canada is a great country: The federal government tries to ensure that, no matter where Canadians choose to live, they receive roughly the same level of public services thanks to wealth transfer among the provinces.

Newcomers’ Meet & Greet - a Smashing Success!

More than seventy newcomers to Quebec City and their guests gathered under one roof on January 28th for an evening of fun and festivities. As part of the Voice of English-speaking Quebec’s annual roster of Finding Your Niche for Newcomers events,  the annual Meet & Greet allows us all to connect and reconnect in an informal and relaxing atmosphere.

Autism treatment comes naturally for “Effervescence” author

Simone Brenneman has taken a unique approach to raising autistic children.

"Many treatments focus on trying to make the autistic child normal," Brenneman, a mother of four, said. But the way she sees it, you have to go with what makes the afflicted feel comfortable. "I'm not saying don't use (those treatment methods).
