Alice Louise Clarke (née Penney) LANGTON

Alice passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018, at the wonderful age of 87, following a brief illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Alice lived in Quebec City with her family. Following the death of her husband John Clarke in 1970, she married Thomas Langton in 1974 and moved to Providence, Rhode Island.

The Canso – Story of one of my more memorable flying experiences

It was summer of 1951, and my next flight was on board a Canso amphibious flying boat. It would leave at 8:30 a.m. from Knob Lake, 365 miles north of Seven Islands [now better known as Sept-Îles], our destination.
