Montreal school sends cheque to buy shoes for Afghan children

Students at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal jumped on board the Shoes for Afghanistan campaign. The private girls’ school held a Miss Shoeniverse Contest to raise funds to purchase footwear for needy feet overseas.

The Jeffery Hale Hospital prepares for its 8th annual Révélations

Painters, sculptors, crafters, writers and other artists are invited to participate in the eighth edition of the Exposition Révélations exhibit to be held at the Jeffery Hale from April 6 to 8 from 11 to 5 p.m. It is open to staff, residents and community members. The opening will take place on Sunday, April 6 in the Coin Soleil room, second floor, at 2 p.m. The deadline to apply is March 7.

Plains of Abraham to celebrate 100th

The Plains of Abraham have planned plenty of activities in celebration of its centennial in March 2008.
The park recently inaugurated its skating rink with help from a special visitor from the past, Canadian landscape architect and landscaper Frederick G. Todd, who designed the 108-hectare space for Quebec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations.
