Last week at the World Beer Awards, Unibroue 17 was named world's best beer among more than 500 competing beers from 27 countries.

Héma-Québec satisfied with new pacts

The agreement in principle concluded on July 6 by the management of Héma-Québec and the three CSN unions representing the Montreal facility was ratified at three general assemblies held on July 17, July 18 and July 25.

VEQ Finding Your Niche sponsors walking tour

The Voice of English-speaking Quebec will sponsor a walking tour of Old Quebec on September 11 as part of its Finding Your Niche newcomers program.

VEQ held its first Finding Your Niche Event June 17. This event allowed newcomers with home-based businesses to showcase their products and services while allowing others to socialize and see what resources are available to them.

QCGN supports new effort to reverse census decision

The Quebec Community Groups Network has expressed its full support for the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne (FCFA) du Canada in its effort to get the federal government to reverse its decision to scrap the mandatory long form census.

The FCFA has filed an application with the Federal Court for judicial review of the government's decision.

The Big Band of Roland Martel and the Royal 22nd Regiment at the Agora, Port of Québec

More than 10,000 people have attended concerts at the Agora Port de Quebc since July 18. The new program seems to please lovers of classical music as well as lyrical concerts. This week, the Festival d'été de Québec presents a Latin Evening with the Big Band of Roland Martel on Wednesday, Aug.
