Curtain to rise on Festival de Cinéma de la Ville de Québec

Québec City’s annual film extravaganza is back! On August 22, the Festival de cinéma de la Ville de Québec (FCVQ) announced its 2017 lineup. From September 13 to 23, moviegoers will have the chance to enjoy over 200 films, including two movies “soundtracked” by live musicians, Birdman and La passion de Jeanne d’Arc.

Marathon SSQ marks bittersweet transitional year

Runners from 24 countries arrived in Quebec City over the weekend of August 25. Despite the celebrations, the 20th edition of the Marathon SSQ de Québec was a bittersweet day. 

The runners crossed the Quebec Bridge for the last time - organizers say next year’s race will be entirely on the north shore.

The place to be in Sillery on Saturday was at Maguire en Fête. Businesses and restaurants celebrated the history and the uniqueness of the commercial street. On August 27, the street was closed to vehicles and opened to pedestrians.
