Interesting vegan discoveries

As I said in my April 25 column, “I’m not vegan, but …” (in the April 25 edition of the QCT), veganism is increasingly present in our daily lives. Since August, a new certified vegan product has turned up on our grocery shelves, and I set out to try it.

New provincial funding for anglophone organizations

Quebec women’s rugby teams bring home bronze medals

It was a weekend to remember for Rugby Québec women’s programs.

In action at the East National Rugby Championships at Acadia University, in Wolfville, N.S., from Aug. 14-19, both under 16 and under 18 (U16, U18) girls teams came home with bronze medals.

The Université Laval Rouge et Or football team started its 2018 season with a surprisingly close 14-1 victory over the Université de Sherbrooke Vert et Or in Réseau du Sport Étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) action on Aug. 23.

Laval hoops win; Capitales now in final stretch

The Université Laval Rouge et Or men’s basketball team completed their exhibition games against NCAA teams with a resounding 92-77 win over the Farmingdale State Rams, a Division III team, on Aug. 25.
