The ninth annual Révélations art exhibit at the Jeffery Hale Hospital and Pavillion drew 500 people through it's doors from Sunday to Tuesday. The event exhibits and sells the paintings, photographs and crafts of clients of The Jeffery Hale Friends' Foundation, as well as those of patients, residents and employees and their family members at St.Brigid's-Jeffery Hale Hospital.

A little known pristine bog in Shannon boasting endangered plant life is set to become a permanently protected ecological reserve.

On January 20, 1961, John F. Kennedy gave his inaugural address after being elected president of the United States of America.

It was a stirring speech.

I actually have it and many others on an old vinyl record at home.

Listening to it one day, a passage from that particular speech struck me.

Kind, generous, reliable, and hard-working are the words staff at Jeffery Hale Community Services Day Centre use to describe long-time volunteer Micheline Guignard.

The resident of Montcalm has volunteered in the kitchen for the seniors' centre twice a week for10 years this year -- a contribution the community health institution recognized last Thursday.
