2017 Festival d’opéra de Québec offers more than ever

Opéra de Québec president Pierre Goulet and artistic and executive director Grégoire Legendre recently unveiled the program for the 7th Festival d'opéra de Québec which will take place from July 24 to August 5.

Audrey Smith receives Lieutenant Governor’s award for volunteerism

Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury resident Audrey (Dacres) Smith was presented with a (silver) Senior’s Medal by Lieutenant Governor Michel Doyon in recognition of her remarkable 56 years of volunteer work in her community during a ceremony held at the National Assembly on April 8. With her are Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury Mayor Robert Miller (left) and her son Eric Smith (right).

Easter eggs grow on trees in Limoilou

Easter is coming and eggs are growing on trees! La Fournée Bio bakery on 3e Ave is ready for the holiday with this whimsical display, catching the eye of passersby. A chocolate counter serving up eggs, bunnies, lollipops and more is located inside the bakery.

Another week, another basketball banner for St. Pat’s

The regional high school basketball championships were held last weekend to close the 2016-17 season for both the boys and girls teams.

After seeing their Bantam counterparts win the gold medal the previous weekend, St. Patrick’s High School Fighting Irish Atom team crushed the Collège des Compagnons Mousquetaires 49-24, giving them a perfect 14-0 season.
