World Day of Prayer service for the People of Chile

Please join us at the bilingual and ecumenical World Day of Prayer service which will be held on Friday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 1145 rue de Salaberry, Quebec City. Invite your friends and family to participate in this service and learn more about Chile and its unique culture and heritage. Join Christians in more than 170 countries around the world and 2,000 communities across Canada who will gather on March 4 to pray and act in solidarity with the people of Chile. The theme of the service is “How Many Loaves Have You?”

This annual World Day of Prayer (WDP) service is coordinated by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada. The local WDP service in Quebec City is organized by women of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Chalmers-Wesley United Church, Église Unie Saint-Pierre, the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (Anglican), Trinity Church (Anglican) and the Basilique Notre-Dame.

This event is held in Quebec City each year in conjunction with International Women’s Day events (March 8). WDP services are about women, with material prepared by women of a different country each year, and presented by women of participating churches in our city. However, ALL are welcome to attend: gentlemen, that includes you! Light refreshments will be served in McMahon Hall following the service. Parking is available in the Îlot Saint-Patrick. Follow the signs to the lower level and entrance to the lower level of the church through a passageway.
