The Wolfe-Montcalm monument overlooks the Dufferin Terrace beside the Château Frontenac. French General Montcalm's name appears on the right side of the monument.

Thursday, September 13, was the 253rd anniversary of the 1759 Battle of the Plains of Abraham. I greatly admire the Latin inscription (only eight words) on the Wolfe-Montcalm monument in the Jardin des Gouverneurs behind the Chateau Frontenac:

Mortem Virtus Communem, Famam Historia, Monumentum Posteritas Dedit
