At the end of the Wendake International Pow Wow opening ceremony, the Sandokwa dancers and other young members of the Huron-Wendat Nation sang and beat the great ceremonial drum, which symbolizes the beating of the heart.

It was perfect weather for a powwow in Vieux-Wendake last weekend – sunny and hot. The festivities started at the outdoor amphitheatre on June 29 with the grand entry of special guests followed by a performance by the Sandokwa dancers, led by Steeve Wadohandik Gros-Louis.
