Watching cranes change the skyline of Sainte-Foy

The team of riggers remove sections of the crane’s boom, working in -18C weather, around 140 feet in the air.

For over a year I have been observing, from my balcony, the construction of the Sommet III, a 587-unit high-rise in Sainte-Foy that has changed the skyline. The excavation started Dec. 12, 2016 and construction is expected to end Sept. 1. It is 14 storeys high, not counting four underground levels for the parking garage. It is a very impressive and imposing structure.
