Grave markers of Canadian military personnel stand tall in Mount Hermon Cemetery.

Few of us have ever met anyone who fought in World War II, and fewer still have met a soldier from the Great War. It may be difficult for some to feel personally connected to these people at an official ceremony on Remembrance Day; however, a walk among graves marking the fallen provides a different perspective. Their lives were real. Their deaths were real.
