Tory Road Map Replaces Grit Action Plan On Official Languages

Three weeks following Off icial Languages Commissioner Graham Fraser’s annual report, which blasted the Harper government’s lack of an action plan on official languages, the federal government responded with a five-year “Road Map” on Canadian bilingualism.  The plan involves a boost in funding to $1.1 billion over fi ve years.

US Consul General takes advantage of winter sport in Quebec

United States Consul General to Quebec David Fetter has been on the job from his office at 2 Dufferin Terrace since last fall.

Fetter admitted that he was disappointed that he could not find a Nordique’s shirt when he arrived — he learned, to his dismay, that they had become the Avalanche!
