Avenue Dobell is a short street in Sillery, between Chemin Saint-Louis and Rue Noury, parallel to Avenue Charles-Huot. It is named after Richard Reid Dobell (1837-1902), a local businessman and politician who was born in Liverpool, England. He came to Quebec to do business in the lumber industry, became partners with Thomas Beckett, his future brother-in-law, and they settled in Sillery.
