Rue Trudeau runs from Boulevard Père-Lelièvre to Rue du Rhin in the Duberger-Les Saules district of Quebec City. Most of the homes are multiple dwellings. The street was opened in 1968 at the height of the “Trudeau-mania” frenzy.

Rue Trudeau is named in honour of Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau (1919-2000). Trudeau was a Montreal lawyer who was Prime Minister of Canada from 1968-1979 and 1980-1984. He was educated at the Université de Montreal, Harvard and the London School of Economics.
