Rue Stanley-Cosgrove is located in a fairly new residential area of Cap-Rouge with young trees and well-kept lawns.

Rue Stanley-Cosgrove is named in honour of Stanley Cosgrove, an artist born of Irish and French parentage in Montreal in 1911. Cosgrove studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal from 1929 to 1935.
