The story behind Rue Edison

Photo: Bill Cox

Rue Edison is located near Rue de l'Aeroport in Val-Bélair. Although a little hazy in this photograph, the St. Charles River valley and the Laurentian mountains in the background make a beautiful panoramic landscape.

Rue Edison, a short street in Val-Bélair, is named in honour of Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931), who was born in Milan, Ohio. He was the youngest child of Samuel Ogden Edison, who was born in Marshalltown, near Digby, Nova Scotia.
