Cabot Tower on Signal Hill has played a pivotal role throughout history, whether as a military post or as a communication centre. From here, Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless telegraph transmission from the United Kingdom in 1901.

St. John’s is the bustling capital city of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, filled with many historical elements. Among its many buildings, Cabot Tower stands alone at the summit of Signal Hill. This location often played pivotal roles throughout history, whether as a military post or in transatlantic communication.
