Senate holds language committee hearings

Quebecers have ‘fundamental right’ to chooseThe Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages will be in Quebec next week as part of its study on the realities of English-speaking communities in Quebec, particularly the various aspects affecting their development and vitality (e.g., community development, education, youth, arts and culture, health).
The committee invites all those interested to attend the following public hearings:

Monday, September 13, from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 2:30 to p.m., and Tuesday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:15 to 2:30 pm at the Morrin Centre, 44 chaussée des Écossais, in Old Quebec City.

Additional hearings are scheduled for Thursday, September 16, at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke  and Friday, September 17 at Delta Montreal, Concerto Salon.
