Ronald Edward Blair of Quebec (1925-2015) died peacefully at Saint Brigid's Home on Monday, May 25, 2015. Son of the late Norman Fairlie Blair and Marion Jean Blair (nee Marsh), brother of the late David and Hugh Blair, he leaves his beloved wife Miriam Phipps Baker, daughters Allison, Louisa (Don Hembroff), Sarah, and son David (Christiane Germain) as well as grandchildren Eric (Valerie Toussaint), Sam, Justine, Phillip, Hannah, Isabelle and Miriam.

Ronnie grew up in Quebec City, attended the High School of Quebec in the Old City and, after serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, completed his studies at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He then joined Price Brothers in Quebec City, becoming the fourth generation of Blairs to work there.

The company sent the Blairs to England, where they spent a total of almost 40 years. They returned to Quebec City for six years, then moved back to England and remained there for several years after Ronnie retired. As most of the Blair children were by then living in Canada, Ronnie and Miriam came back to Quebec City for good in 1998.
