Retirement . . . it was nice while it lasted!

Well, that has to be the shortest “retirement” in history!

Yes, I’m temporarily back in the saddle (or office chair) again as the QCT’s assignment editor and copy editor.

Shortly after Sarah Barclay replaced me in July, she was offered her “dream job” in Quebec City and just couldn’t turn it down. We wish Sarah all the best in her new position with Olympus NDT Canada.

Though I look forward to re-retiring in the near future (for longer than a month), I’ll continue to contribute articles about events and subjects that are near and dear to me and that I hope will be of interest to you.

Meanwhile, the QCT is actively seeking a candidate for this position, someone who knows our community well (or is prepared to get to know it) and who will take over the reins.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a journalist or photojournalist, be bilingual (English as mother tongue, and a solid grasp of written and spoken French), be outgoing, a self-starter, and have good managerial skills.

Persons interested in applying for this challenging position may submit their CV to editor and publisher Stacie Stanton at [email protected]
