The Image Mill: A Megaprojection on Québec City’s History
June 20 will be the first opportunity to participate in this unique event, a megaprojection realized by Robert Lepage, a renowned international author and director. As part of the festivities surrounding Québec City's 400th anniversary, the Image Mill, a visual and audio work of art, will be projected on the grain elevators in the Port of Québec, to become the largest site of giant projections ever shown. From the age of exploration to the clearing of the lands and the industrial expansion to the development of communications, this grand work of art reveals an impressive portrait of the city over the years. The event will be held at Espace 400e until August 24.
Witness first hand the 400 years of Québec City's history!

Loto-Québec, Sépaq and Commission de la capitale nationale du Québec present the lighting of the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency cove. This nighttime illumination is a legacy from Loto-Québec, the main sponsor for Québec City's 400th anniversary. This project was realized in collaboration with the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq) and the Commission de la capitale nationale du Québec. The inaugural lighting of the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency cove will take place at nightfall every nights around 9:30 pm. On the schedule: popular entertainment, face painting for kids, encounters with historic characters. RTC shuttle transportation available.

“Fairmont Le Château Frontenac Regains its Prestige”
The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac has completed its renovations in time for Québec City's 400th anniversary festivities. The ambitious repair project that began in February 2005, included the renovation of more than five hundred rooms, five of which are magnificent Heritage suites, the designing of a hotel shop of forty-six rooms within the Château itself and the complete transformation of two of its restaurants. The establishment also installed high-speed Internet in each of the rooms and undertook major masonry work to preserve the historic building.

The Snowboard World Championship 2013 will be held in Québec City.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) revealed last May 29, in Cape Town, South Africa, the host cities for the upcoming Sliding Sports World Championships. It is with great pleasure that we announce that the 10th FIS Snowboard World Championships will be held in Québec City, at the Stoneham Mountain Resort, from January 16 to 27, 2013. This is the first time in history that the FIS has awarded a "Senior World Championship" to the province of Quebec, regardless of the sliding sport. Between 500 and 600 world-class athletes will participate in various events, 250 to 300 journalists from the four corners of the world will cover the different sports events, 600 volunteers will help to make the event a success and about 50,000 spectators are expected to attend.
