Attired in traditional Plains Indian-styled regalia, Mireille Casavant is a Métis of Wendat, Mic Mac and Algonquin heritage from Mirabel who came to participate for her third time in Wendake's international pow wow.

In traditional Huron-Wendat regalia, Grand Chief Konrad Siouï spoke of his nation’s vitality and right to express its proud identity. “Our culture is strong, alive and powerful.”
