Children, families and experienced athletes participated in the Global Energy Race, an international event that took place in 48 cities in 21 countries to help local food banks. Olympian Alex Harvey was on hand to encourage the runners and presented awards to the first place male and female winners: Samuel Frigon and Catherine Royer.

The weather was perfect on Sunday, September 24, for the 500 Quebecers participating in the Global Energy Race presented by Bon Matin bread.

The first man and woman to cross the finish line of the 10K race won all-expenses-paid trips to the 2018 edition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
