Island gallery prepares to honour Champlain’s work

A peak inside Arthur Plumpton’s carriage house Galerie Imag-isle on Ile d’Orléans.

Among the summer 2008 treats for visitors to Île d’Orléans will be a trip to photographer Arthur Plumpton’s art gallery nestled in a restored carriage house in Ste-Famille.

Galerie Imag-isle will host the exhibit 1608 Revisited, featuring “photographs honouring Champlain’s establishment of a colony in Canada,” explained Plumpton.
