Sing-Along "Sound of Music"

More musical news! After catching my breath following the Mahler concert, I am now looking ahead to the Sing-Along "Sound of Music" taking place this Thursday, March 20, at 8:00pm, at the Theatre du Petit Champlain, located at 68 rue du Petit-Champlain in Lower Old Town, just below the Chateau Frontenac.

This evening promises to be lots of fun as we watch the original movie with Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer and all the "von Trapp" family. Whenever there is a song in the movie, the words appear on the screen and the audience is invited to sing along. You are also invited to wear a costume of one of the characters in the movie, if you wish. It is not compulsory. However, there is a competition for best costume before the movie is shown.
Hope to see you this Thursday.

"The Sound Of Music ... often imitated but never duplicated. The legendary movie starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer has inspired more than one actor or singer to pursue a life in the arts. On March 20 you will have a chance to realize your childhood dream and take part in this musical production — half karaoke and half Halloween party. Le Théatre du Petit Champlain, 68 Rue du Petit-Champlain, is hosting the party and invites you to dress up and sing your favourite parts of the movie. There will be prizes for the best costume, and Bertrand Alain will serve as your host! Afterwards, the English version of the film will be presented — another chance for you to sing in harmony with all the original actors! You’ll get four hours’ worth of entertainment, but, most importantly, hours of pure and uninhibited fun! Showtime is 8:00pm."

This kind of idea is very funny. Every body remember the Vontrapp Family and this is a very good souvenir.
